The photos were taken ages ago, but it took me far too long to finally sort them out. The start of 2026 hasn’t been particularly smooth at work. I’m hoping that once I get past this hurdle, things will run more steadily. I didn’t expect such an abrupt turn of events to throw off all my plans — and my mood.
I find myself caring less about the outcome these days; it’s the process that’s been draining. A lot of what I’m working on is still just shy of where it needs to be, and that final push is always the hardest. It’s a bit like when I was preparing for IELTS — stuck at the same score for ages, struggling to move an inch.
This time I chose to walk up the mountain rather than take the cable car. The experience was far better — avoiding most of the crowds, taking my time on my own, and feeling my mind slowly open up.
