I went back to Hong Kong Disneyland after five years. The last time I went was in May 2021, and the experience was so underwhelming that I honestly thought I’d never return. This time, I treated it more like a walk through a big park. I snapped some photos with a new lens. When I got home and started going through the shots, I was surprised — the results were much better than I expected, and I ended up with quite a few keepers. A pleasant surprise, to say the least.
Photography gear really proves the rule: you get what you pay for. My original plan was to bring three prime lenses and switch quickly whenever needed, but in reality, there was no time for that. It was way too inconvenient, so I ended up shooting with just the 85mm. I tried to vary the scenes and angles, but the overall vibe still lacked variety. I might actually need to consider a dual‑camera setup next time. It’ll be heavy, but my resistance to using zoom lenses hasn’t softened at all.
