Not a New Chapter But Another Style

It’s been a while since I last stopped by this little corner of the internet. Life has been moving quickly—so quickly that a few recent events feel big enough to shift the trajectory of my life. These changes aren’t just about routines or habits; they reach deeper, into the way I think and the way I see myself. With time, I’ve grown more certain about the worldview I’ve held for years. That clarity feels like a quiet kind of luck. I’m still imperfect, still adjusting, but I’m improving—much like the equipment that has stayed with me through different chapters of my life.

One of the biggest updates lately is the amount of new gear I’ve brought into my studio. You could call them my “toys”—new lenses, audio tools, software, and more on the way. Compared to dealing with people who thrive on drama, working with equipment is refreshingly simple. It’s honest. It does what it’s supposed to do. And sometimes, that’s all I need.

My “old companion” of nine years is finally retiring. I call it that because it has been with me for so long, through so many projects. The replacement is from the same company. I didn’t expect to stick with the same brand for two generations, but here we are. It’s not a luxury purchase, but it fits my needs. Looking back, I realize I’ve always had a strange attachment to audio interfaces—wherever I go, it’s always interface plus microphone. Upgrading it feels like updating a part of my timeline, a part of my life.

There’s still a long list of equipment in the studio waiting to be replaced. But over the years, I’ve learned to stay away from conflict, gossip, cliques, pointless arguments, and people with bad intentions. That distance has saved me an incredible amount of time and energy. I may not have achieved anything monumental yet, but I’m still moving forward—steadily, quietly, and with conviction.
